LED Lights make Excellent Torches

LED Torches use the best features of LED light
LEDs produce the perfect light beam for toch light because it is directional, can be focussed in a tight beam and does not radiate in all directions like the old types of torch bulbs.

LED torches use one-tenth the power of a standard torch
Torch batteries will last much longer when powering LEDs becua they only use a frction of the power to product the same amount of light intensity.

There are many benefits to using LEDs in torches and LED lamps
LED lights are more energy efficient, they convert almost all the available electrical energy into light and the light is focused in one direction which mean there is very little light scatter, unlike incandescent lights and CFLs which are omnidirectional and light up areas that do not necessarily need to be lit up.

LEDs can also replace home lighting
When broader lighting is desired there are LED light units with multiple LEDs angled to produce up to 360 degree lighting
Typical power consumption ranges from 1 watt for a moderately powerful torch to about 8 watts for exceedingly bright lamps which is about 85% less energy than conventional lights.
In modern homes LED lights are used as down lights and reading lights and can also be found in lighting arrangements which exploit their particular characteristics.

LED lights are more convenient .
An LED light will last for many years of continuous use before losing light intensity and never need replacing, this means they are the ideal light to use in hard to reach places, once installed you don't have to worry about bulb replacement.

LED lights are safe
LEDs are solid state electronic components, they are actually a type of diode encased in hard epoxy and will withstand a lot of harsh treatment without breaking
When you switch an LED light on it will produce full light instantly and is cool to the touch and will not burn curious little fingers, making them safe for use around little children

Led lights are versatile and look good
Use LED lighting in applications where instant light is needed for emergency lighting
When used to replace standard incandescent bulbs they can be used in dimming circuits and they do not turn yellowish when dim. They don't have electronic ballasts like CFLs so will not cause radio and TV interference as Fluorescent lights sometimes do.
