    Portable Vertical Axis Wind Generator with magnetic base

    This is a vertical axis wind turbine (or wind generator) designed for portable use.
    The rotor (blades) is in two parts and the upper section extends upwards when in use and is retracted into the lower half of the rotor for easy storage.
    One of the disadvantages of conventional wind generators is that they occupy a lot of space with spinning blades and large poles and they are permanent installations.  A vertical axis wind turbine uses less space, so can be mounted on a boat, mobile home, caravan or small building.
    Another advantage of this design is is that they don't need to be pointed into the wind so are suitable for areas where the wind direction is changing often. The telescopic design reduces the rotor to half its length when not in use. You can also retract the rotor height for use in high wind speeds.
    An LED display gives a readout of output voltage so you know when it's working effectively.
    Cables, mounting bars and a strong magnetic base are included so this is a complete portable wind generator solution for boating, 4WD, camping, fishing etc.
