Suntech 40W solar panel for charging a small 12v battery

This 12V 40W solar panel will provide enough power to charge up small to medium batteries for RV, marine or caravan appliances. The modules are composed of 36 multicrystalline (polycrystalline) silicon solar cells of similar performance, interconnected in series to obtain the 12 Volt output. A heavy-duty anodized aluminium frame provides strength and convenient mounting access. Unique textured surface and bypass diodes ensure sunlight is fully utilised to attain maximum photovoltaic effect. The solar cells are laminated between high transmissivity, low-iron, 3mm tempered glass and a sheet of tedlar-polyeaster-tedlar (TPT) material sandwiched between two sheets of ethylene Vinyl acetate (EVA). This protects against moisture penetrating into the module.
